[Game Demo] Vollex

Post by adabo » November 1st, 2012, 10:35 pm

With much pride and effort, I'd like to share this with you guys. Enjoy! Don't laugh!

Mainly a proof of concept, and it's the first game I've ever made. This is more a thanks and pat on the back to Chili if anything that he was able to teach a delinquent like me ;) Oh yeah, I'm only on lesson 16, so if I can do it, anyone can :D

Controls are in the Readme.txt

The controls are EPIC, but the hitbox of the pixels is a bit small compared to the fact that the controls are fairly hard to do exact movements.

You should add support for going through the screen to the right as well.

Oh my goodness! Thank you for all the feedback. And positive too :)

@LuX - I hope to add upgrades to the player, such as larger hitbox, speed, jump. I didn't mean for it to be frustrating, just challenging.

@Sumit - Cool! Thanks.

@thetoddfather - Yup. You are certainly right, and I intend to. I have all sorts of ideas for platforms, pits, invisible openings. It's just this is all new to me so it's going to take a really long time to figure out how to do it all. Even with Chili's tuts.

adabo,

I agree with Lux on the controls, hard to manage, but overall the program is pretty good! I like the concept!
