for some reason when i try to build it i get this msg 1>LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'dxerr.lib' could someone help ive looked through all of the code and dont see anything at all that has to to with this sorry if im just making a really stupid mistake here

collin your error is right there... It can't open the dxerr library. Not a code problem.
