Re: My Little Puzzle game

I love sudoku! I was actually going to make one myself, but without being able to find a stable database of unsolved puzzles that I could simply read into the program, I lost interest quickly. If you (or anyone) makes any intuitive and abstract puzzle games, I would love to have a play through. I ju...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

I'll have a look into that. If it requires anything more than moving around though, I may as well sell the computer. Just taking it apart to clean the heat sink was a PAIN and I had to take it apart multiple times to get everything placed correctly. I really don't want to go through that again, haha.

Re: Help with classes

What problems are you running into exactly? Could you just use the layout you used for the first class you created so we can build off of that or in relation to it?

Re: C# port of the Chili DirectX Framework V12.04.24 (SFX)

Personally I'm not interested in the port. I find C# to be a very over dramatized language with no actual good use besides making simple tools. You shouldn't be using C# for game programming any way, especially not just because it's funner or easier. I don't mean to come off harsh, I just have a rea...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

I've spent about and hour and a half on the charger, moving it and arranging it in different ways to try and get a charge to no avail. I'm thinking it may be a problem with the charging port on the laptop. Due to this, I'm still unable to test anything. But for a response, nothing was displayed thro...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

@ cameron: Yes, I'll try that once I can get a new charger. @ Shaki: I always have to manipulate the chargers in some way after about 5 months of use. I can generally get it to work by pulling down or rotating slightly at the point where I connect it into the laptop. I'll try moving it around near t...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

Wow, I'm just about ready to sell this damn thing on eBay for scrap and head out the door with my $30. Once I took out the hard drive to test, my battery ran out of juice so I cannot turn on the computer. With my cord unable to charge currently, I have nothing I can do. This is very frustrating. As ...

Re: Teaching Kids Programming

Hardly anything, which is why I cannot stand general education. Throughout my whole high school career I never (and I mean never) did a single homework assignment. I would go to class, pay attention during the lesson, sleep through classwork, then take the test where I got below average grades. I st...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

Interesting. The hard drive light actually does not come up on the main dash for the laptop. Nor do the caps lock or number lock buttons if I click them. However, the buttons for the volume and custom quick button are reacting when being touched. Here is what I'm referring to (the icons above the ke...

Re: Black Screen on Startup

There is no volume. It seems to be documented elsewhere that power up will run by showing lights and igniting the fans for about three seconds, then stop, which mine does. However everyone else has fixed the issue simply by plugging it into an external monitor and seeing it work, while mine doesn't....
